Very disappointed. Received plant with only one inch of growth. Took weeks to start while the other three clematis plants (Jackmanii, Prince Charles, and Francis Rivis) planted at the same time and under the same conditions started quickly and are beautiful. Barely reached 30 centimeters (12 inches). The most expensive of the lot, not described as difficult, and the most disappointing. PROMESSE DE FLEURS' RESPONSE We are sorry as we place great importance on the quality of our plants and their growth. The weather conditions and lack of sunlight sometimes make it difficult for our clematis to grow, and it is possible that this variety is a bit slower. We advise you to wait until autumn and contact us again at 03.61.76.08.10 if its progress does not fully satisfy you. We will proceed with a replacement or refund if necessary.

Planting and care

Choose a sunny or semi-shade exposure. In a sun, shade the base of your plant with a ground cover plant or a perennial geranium. Clematis plants like to have their feet in the shade. Plant your clematis by covering the root ball with 3 cm (1in) of soil, in soil worked to a depth of 20 cm (8in), lightened with good compost. Water abundantly and regularly during the first few weeks. Clematis plants attach themselves thanks to their tendrils. To promote their growth, provide them with trellis support or help them dress the trunk of a tree by placing a wire mesh. Clematis plants also like to grow freely on neighbouring plants. You can prune it in March to a height of 30 cm (12in). We advise you not to water too much, as stagnant water can cause fungus at the base.
