These 100% biodegradable nails are perfect for securing natural fibre mulch sheets to the ground. They are quick and easy to use. The nails boast 6 leading shoots, which ensures excellent resistance to pulling. Use a suitable installation tool (sold separately) to avoid the risk of breaking the nails. The nails decompose within 3 to 5 years.

These 100% biodegradable nails are perfect for securely fixing ground cover sheets, especially those made from natural and biodegradable fibres. They can be quickly and easily placed all around the mulching fabric and provide excellent resistance to pulling out thanks to the 6 anti-return arrows on their body. Use a suitable installation tool (sold separately) to avoid the risk of breaking the nails.

These nails are made from a brown P.L.A. polymer. The P.L.A. polymer, also known as polylactic acid, is a large molecule resulting from the polymerisation of lactic acid derived from the fermentation of sugars or starch under the action of a specific bacteria. Lactic acid is a by-product of composting that is naturally present in milk, as well as in certain fruits and vegetables, or even in wine. P.L.A. is degraded by the soil's microorganisms through a perfectly natural process within 3 to 5 years, depending on the nature of the soil and the climate. The P.L.A. nails have a pointed end. They are strong enough to be driven into well-tilled soil. They stabilise mulch sheets on the ground, even in strong winds or heavy rain. They are suitable for flat terrain and sloping ground. This fixing system is primarily suitable for biodegradable felts and mulches.

Directions for use These biodegradable nails are equipped with anti-backshoot arrows for stability. They securely fix natural mulch fabrics or other biodegradable protections to the soil. They ensure a tight fit, even in strong winds or heavy rains. They work on flat terrain and sloping ground. This fixing system is compatible with biodegradable plant felts and mulches, as well as woven plastic fabrics. For effective fixing, place them around the entire perimeter of your mulch, with approximately 50 to 60cm (20 to 24in) between 2 nails.
