Alstroemeria, also known as the Peruvian Lily, is a perennial with beautiful exotic-looking flowers. Not very hardy, it is also somewhat particular about its location in the garden. It requires well-drained soil, cool in summer, to bloom well. Its growing conditions make it a good candidate for pot planting, especially as it flowers for a long time in summer and again in autumn.

There are many very compact varieties well-suited for container cultivation. You can store them in a bright, cool room during winter if you are concerned about frost exceeding -5 °C. If you leave the pot outside all year round, be sure to mulch the base of your Alstroemeria.

Discover our varieties perfect for lovely pot displays.
