Which varieties of tulips have pink flowers? Whether they are soft pink, candy pink, pale pink, raspberry pink, or peach pink, pink tulips charm us as soon as the sunny days return. They come in cool or warm tones, sometimes pastel or vibrant. Pink soothes and brings a great deal of softness to the garden, in borders alongside biennial or annual plants that will fill the space after flowering, in rockeries, flower beds, as well as in pots and window boxes. This shade fits everywhere, in all styles of garden, including cottage gardens, natural gardens, and even… in vegetable gardens! Tulips are easy bulbs to grow. Plant them in autumn, in sunlight, and in any well-draining substrate as they are sensitive to excess moisture that could cause them to rot.

Darwin Tulip ‘Candy Apple Delight’

The Darwin hybrid tulip ‘Candy Apple Delight’ offers a delightful bicolour flowering in delicious tones in April, at the heart of spring. The flower opens in a narrow cup with vivid pink petals edged in pure white. Each tulip is suspended from a sturdy, thick stem 45 cm tall, allowing it to withstand the elements well and providing a lovely vase life. This tulip, reminiscent of a large English sweet, brings elegance and vibrancy to spring beds, in pots or as a cut flower arrangement. It pairs perfectly with peonies, Dicentra ‘Burning Hearts’®, and will be beautifully complemented by white-flowered tulip varieties such as the Darwin hybrid tulip ‘Hakuun’ with its refreshing colour.

Tulip 'Menton'

This award-winning variety from the Royal Horticultural Society blooms late, at the end of the tulip season, in May-June. The large flowers, measuring 10 cm in diameter, are perched on tall stems of 50 to 60 cm in height, sturdy and very resistant to wind and rain. The late single tulip ‘Menton’ opens in soft and warm apricot-pink tones, which are quite rare among tulips. Its satin robe changes over time. The ovate corolla blooms in true pink, shifting to salmon pink. In the sun, the edges of the petals are lined with a light orange trim. This tulip adds a bygone charm to any display, thriving alongside simple small flowers like forget-me-nots or cornflowers.

Its stem measures between 40 and 45 cm in height and, although slender, it offers good vase life and resistance to the elements. Here is a very beautiful refined variety whose flowering occurs in May, towards the end of the tulip season. The Fringed Tulip ‘Cacharel’ then showcases large single flowers blending various shades of pink. The dress is a fresh pink colour, shaded with peach pink touched with lime green at the base. The delicately fringed petals at the edges open in a round cup, revealing a beautiful surprise of pure white inside. The Double Late Tulip ‘Chato’

Certain varieties of tulips have such double flowers that they resemble those of peonies. This is the case with the ‘Chato’ tulip, which displays enormous peony-like flowers with multiple bright pink petals. It is a late-flowering variety, blooming in May. With its strawberry sorbet hue, its opulent flowers bring a whimsical and romantic touch to English-style gardens. Each flower is unique, revealing different shades of pink. This beautiful weather-resistant flower is supported by a sturdy long stem, standing 45 cm tall. It is a perfect tulip for spring borders as well as for flowering pots. It can be surrounded by a double-flowered Paeonia, while the Fritillaria persica and white Eremurus will provide verticality to the roundness of its tulips in contrast.
