Pruning bignonia
for a superb flowering
Contents
How to proceed
The trumpet vine blooms all summer long, and to achieve this, at the end of February, do not hesitate to prune the branches that have dried out from the cold, keeping only the framework of the trumpet vine.
This will facilitate air circulation and light penetration, making your flowers even more beautiful.
At the beginning of spring, you can also refresh the trumpet vine by cutting the secondary branches from the previous year back to two or three buds. Remember to disinfect your pruning shear or your lopper before performing this action to limit the spread of diseases.
As you know, the trumpet vine loves light and should be placed out of the reach of cool winds.
