The liquid fertiliser for cacti NPK 4-6-8 with trace elements is a complete mineral fertiliser that meets the specific needs of all varieties of cacti and other succulent plants grown in pots. It promotes vigorous vegetation, prevents deficiencies, and provides all the essential nutrients in the substrate for cactus cultivation, which is often poor and highly draining. Packaged in a 0.5L container, it can prepare up to 125 litres of nutrient solution.

Cacti grown in pots require regular fertiliser applications because their cultivation substrate depletes quickly, especially since it is often rich in sand and therefore free draining: the nutrients it contains are carried away with each watering. Excessive fertiliser is unnecessary and can be harmful to the roots of succulent plants. Feed from spring to early autumn, during the period of growth and possibly flowering. Generally, summer is a period of rest for succulent plants, so it is best to suspend fertiliser applications. All fertilisers consist of 3 major elements: nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K). Trace elements, present in smaller quantities, are also essential for the health and growth of plants. Cacti and succulent plants prefer a fertiliser with a low nitrogen content and a higher phosphorus and potassium content to prevent excessive growth and promote the rigidity of plant tissues.

This fertiliser is a concentrated solution of nutrients to be diluted in water. It does not come from organic matter derived from living organisms but from inert mineral matter such as certain rocks. It has the advantage of being immediately available to the plant but should be applied regularly, approximately every 15 days. Its formulation is NPK 4-6-8 with trace elements. This means that it contains:

  • 4% nitrogen (N): this element contributes to the development of non-reproductive aerial parts of the plant, especially leaves and stems.
  • 6% phosphorus (P), which strengthens plant resistance and contributes to root development.
  • 8% potassium (K): essential for good harvests, it promotes flowering and fruit development.
  • Water-soluble trace elements: 0.013% boron (B), 0.003% copper (Cu) chelated by EDTA, 0.021% iron chelated by EDTA (Fe), 0.011% manganese (Mn) chelated by EDTA, 0.001% molybdenum (Mo), 0.006% zinc (Zn) chelated by EDTA.

Use: from February-March to October-November, every 15 days, during the growth and vegetative period. You can stop feeding during hot weather if it corresponds to the resting period of your succulent plant. Never fertilise on a dry substrate or when the plant shows signs of dehydration or disease.

Dosage: 1 capful, which is 20 ml, per 5L of water.
