The author of these descriptions is the least skilled of the bunch: he speaks and writes well (having studied at Sciences-Po in the distant past) and spent fifteen years working in businesses entirely unrelated to gardening before joining Promesse de fleurs in 2008. A passionate gardener since childhood, he has consistently failed at countless plantings since then. As a result, he has developed a strong ability to empathise with customers disappointed by their cultivation failures—and offers invaluable expertise for the “How to Fail at…” articles on this blog, as well as for translating Michaël’s Latin-heavy jargon into plain English.
