Too early to give my opinion... But I was pleased to find a liquid fertilizer for my acid-loving plants.

This liquid fertiliser is a well-balanced mineral fertiliser enriched with trace elements that promotes the growth and flowering of hydrangeas, azaleas, rhododendrons, and other acid-loving plants grown in the ground or in pots and containers. It prevents deficiencies, limits leaf yellowing, and provides all the essential nutrients for their health. Sold in a 1L container.

The liquid fertiliser for Hydrangeas NPK 5-5-7, enriched with trace elements is a complete mineral fertiliser that promotes the growth and flowering of your hydrangeas, rhododendrons, azaleas, and other acid-loving or ericaceous plants grown in the ground or in pots. It prevents deficiencies in poor soils, limits leaf yellowing, and provides all the essential nutrients for plant health. It will make up to 250 litres of nutrient solution.

Most hydrangeas, as well as all acid-loving bushes, are planted in non-chalky, neutral to acidic soils depending on the species and varieties. Ericaceous soil (sometimes mixed with potting soil) is commonly used to grow them, but it can be poor in nutrients and must be regularly fertilised to meet the needs of these plants. This fertiliser for hydrangeas and acid-loving plants is in the form of a concentrated solution of nutrients to be diluted in water. It does not come from organic matter from living organisms, but from inert mineral matter such as certain rocks. Rich in potassium, it promotes abundant and colourful flowering. Its formulation is NPK 5-5-7 with trace elements. This means that it is composed of:

  • 5% Nitrogen (N): this element contributes to the development of non-reproductive aerial parts of the plant, especially leaves and stems.
  • 5% Phosphorus (P), which strengthens plant resistance and contributes to root development.
  • 7% Potassium (K): essential for good harvests, it contributes to promoting flowering and fruit development.
  • Water-soluble trace elements: 0.013% Boron (B), 0.003% Copper (Cu) chelated by EDTA, 0.021% Iron (Fe) chelated by EDTA, 0.011% Manganese (Mn) chelated by EDTA, 0.001% Molybdenum (Mo), 0.006% Zinc (Zn) chelated by EDTA. These elements, present in very small quantities, nevertheless play an essential role in plant metabolism and health.

Uses: from March to September. Recommended for ericaceous plants: hydrangeas, rhododendrons, azaleas, andromedas, kalmias, camellias, leucothoe, etc... for lush vegetation, abundant flowering with vibrant colours.

Dosage: 1 capful or 20 ml/ 5L of water

To live and multiply, plants need water, about twenty nutrients that they find in mineral form in the soil, carbon dioxide (CO2) present in the air, and solar energy essential for photosynthesis. The basic elements, called macronutrients, are nitrogen (N), phosphorus (P), and potassium (K). They must be present in the soil in significant quantities. Secondary elements, less important in terms of quantity but essential, are calcium (Ca), sulfur (S), and magnesium (Mg). Finally, trace elements, necessary in very small quantities, include iron (Fe), manganese (Mn), molybdenum (Mo), copper (Cu), boron (B), zinc (Zn), chlorine (Cl), sodium (Na), cobalt (Co), vanadium (V), and silicon (Si). The role of fertiliser is to compensate for soil deficiencies and to provide, through optimal dosage, the elements that promote plant growth, flowering and fruit production, or the development of roots, bulbs, and tubers.
