The Arum plant, also called Calla or Zantedeschia, is a high-maintenance plant that requires good humidity and is sensitive to the cold during winter. However, it is worth the effort as it rewards you with the beauty of its large flowers (spathes) that have the shape of a calyx. The type species Aethiopica has white flowers, but the hybrid varieties can have yellow, pink, violet, or green flowers.
