Description
The Arum 'Black Eyed Beauty', also known as Zantedeschia 'Black Eyed Beauty', is a hybrid bulbous plant native to New Zealand, with cream yellow flowers (spathes) maculated with black on the inside.
They bloom in summer and measure almost 10cm (4in) in diameter. The flowers are highly regarded by florists in the summer. Its green foliage is decorative and solid in colour.
Medium-sized, Zantedescia 'Black Eyed Beauty' measures 60cm (24in) tall and is particularly suited for pot cultivation.

Planting and care
Plant your Calla 'Black Eyed Beauty' bulbs from March to April, at a depth of 12cm (5in), spaced 15cm (6in) apart, preferably in a moist location. Apply organic fertilizer at planting and at least once a year. Cultivating them in large pots is possible, ensuring regular watering to keep the soil moist, with fertilization every 2 months during growth. Mulch them at the first cold weather, as they are susceptible to winter moisture and heavy frosts, and are moderately hardy. In pots, store them indoors during winter. They will form beautiful flowering clumps from June to August in just a few years. You can cut back the foliage after the first frost.
