Manual shears adapted for pruning and maintaining hedges, trees, and bushes with regular and compact shapes. This sturdy and resistant tool consists of two long cross-cutting blades made of C50 carbon steel, chrome-plated to further fight against corrosion. Its beautiful ergonomic, tapered handles are hard wood, made rot-proof. A tool for gardeners who love the traditional style and demand a high-quality tool that remains strong over time.

These traditional shears with rounded wooden handles from Spear & Jackson are adapted for cutting of hedges or trees and bushes with a dense and bushy habit, benefiting from repeated pruning. Its long 203 mm crossing blades are hardened and tempered in C50 carbon steel to maintain their sharpness but also have a cutting notch for pruning larger branches. A beautiful chrome coating makes them exceptionally resistant to rust. This tool has ergonomic, tapered handles made of hard, waterproof wood. These are practical, aesthetic, durable and very versatile shears, ideal for small to medium-sized gardens. This product is guaranteed for 10 years by the manufacturer.

These shears resemble large scissors with long crossing, sharpened blades and two long handles. They are mainly used to cut live, flexible, green, and not-too-thick stems and branches. Use by holding the blades horizontally against the surface to be pruned and opening and closing the handles with both hands. They are mainly used for hedge maintenance but can also be used to roughly prune small bushy or trees with compact branches that densify with maintenance. For very large areas to be pruned, use a mechanized hedge trimmer.

Detailed features

Directions for use Shears are mainly used to cut live, flexible, green and not-too-thick stems and branches. Operate by holding the blades horizontally against the surface to be trimmed and opening and closing the handle with both hands. They are mainly used for hedge cutting but can also be used to roughly prune small shrubs or young plants with compact branches that become denser with maintenance. For very large areas to be trimmed, use a mechanized hedge trimmer. Clean the blades with alcohol after use, this helps prevent the transmission of diseases from one plant to another and keeps your tool in good condition for a long time (the sap of some plants can attack the blades or make them sticky over time). Store this tool in a dry place protected from bad weather.
