The Anemone Dahlias, or Anemone-flowered Dahlias, are characterised by large flowers formed by a crown of flattened petals surrounding a very double heart of tubular petals. They offer a range of unprecedented colours, like 'Blue Bayou', with its large, frizzy, red heart resting on a lilac crown, or 'Soulman', a very dark purple, attracting all attention in the garden. There are dwarf varieties, ideal for flowering pots or plants of beautiful stature to integrate into shrub or perennial gardens or even to compose very pretty bouquets.

- In zone 5 (Central Europe, Scandinavia), blooming will be delayed by 3 to 5 weeks.
In temperate climates, pruning of spring-flowering shrubs (forsythia, spireas, etc.) should be done just after flowering.
Pruning of summer-flowering shrubs (Indian Lilac, Perovskia, etc.) can be done in winter or spring.
In cold regions as well as with frost-sensitive plants, avoid pruning too early when severe frosts may still occur.
