The cactus dahlias, with their tapered petals, are coming back into fashion! Their tall forms, with completely curled petals and tubular shapes forming like small pipes (cactus dahlias), or partially curled petals (semi-cactus and semi-decorative forms) with a tousled appearance, are growing in popularity.  They also boast large, fully rounded double flowers. The traditionally very colourful varieties, often bicoloured (heart and tip), are enriched by new selections of uniform colour or subtle shades. They are widely used in the background of flower beds, where their very large flowers, measuring from 12 to 20cm (5 to 8in), create an interesting focal point. They are also increasingly often combined with grasses. The dwarf cactus dahlias, shorter and more traditional, are more commonly used in the foreground of flower beds.

You'll adore them!
