Our green-leaved conifers. Like the classic Nordmann fir Christmas tree and the Leyland cypress, these evergreen trees are essential in our gardens. These conifers, prized for their persistent foliage and robustness, stand out for their ability to structure the landscape all year round. Among the tall green conifers, the Scots pine needs no introduction, with its fine needles and slender habit, fragrant, with a natural and wild appearance. Thuja stands out for its dense and aromatic foliage, especially in the 'Smaragd' and 'Brabant' varieties, perfect for creating hedges or green screens. The Austrian black pine, dark green, robust and resistant, is ideal for gardens exposed to difficult conditions. The Norway spruce, with its classic conical habit and shiny needles, is a safe bet for gardens. The umbrella pine, recognizable by its unique silhouette, provides pleasant shade and is perfect for Mediterranean gardens. There is also a wide range of rockery conifers that have vibrant green foliage. These dwarf varieties are suitable for gardens of all sizes. Mention Picea glauca 'Conica', which forms a perfect cone with dense light green foliage, Juniperus communis 'Compressa' with intense green foliage that forms a very narrow column, or Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Nana Gracilis', dwarf, globular with dark green foliage, dense and soft to the touch.

These conifers thrive in full sun or partial shade, in well-drained soil. Once established, they require little maintenance and are resistant to diseases and pests. Discover them, and many more, in these pages.
