The Anti-limestone for watering water from Masso Garden is a concentrated liquid designed to neutralize the limestone in water intended for watering acidophilous plants. There are many of them, like citrus trees, hydrangeas, Japanese azaleas, or Gardenias, these varieties that are difficult to keep healthy if you don't have soft water: their foliage turns yellow as soon as their roots come into contact with a limestone substrate, which often leads to withering. This decalcifying product is used throughout the year, simply diluted in the watering water, at a rate of 10ml per 3 litres of tap water. A 300 millilitre can prepares 90 litres of soft water.
This anti-limestone product, of chemical origin, counteracts the harmful action of limestone that prevents the assimilation of major elements such as iron in certain plants. Indeed, iron and certain other trace elements chemically bind preferentially to calcium, making them unavailable and non-assimilable by the roots of so-called acidophilous plants: chlorophyll synthesis is stopped, which is manifested by yellowing of the leaves. If nothing is done, the plant loses its leaves, weakens, no longer blooms, and eventually withers.
Iron is a crucial element for the health and growth of plants, but its availability depends largely on the pH of the soil: in basic soil (pH>7), iron will be difficult to absorb by certain acidophilous plants such as rhododendrons, azaleas, hydrangeas... Iron is involved in the composition of several enzymes and certain pigments. It is essential for the formation of chlorophyll: plants deficient in iron show symptoms of chlorosis in the leaves, which are then yellow and not green, except at the level of the veins.
Usage: preferably for plants grown in pots indoors, in the veranda or on the terrace, especially for:
- citrus trees
- all plants known as acid-loving plants (hydrangeas, azaleas, rhododendrons, Andromedas, camellias, Kalmias, Gardenias...)
- all plants that show obvious signs of chlorosis in general.
Irritating product. Keep out of reach of children. Follow the uses, doses, conditions, and precautions mentioned on the packaging.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
