Already deflowered, but what a lovely surprise!

Smaller plant than I thought but still lovely

I've often seen it in pictures, now I have it in my garden. Delighted!!!

The imperial fritillary is difficult to grow, unlike the less expensive guinea fowl fritillary, obviously less majestic but no less decorative. My fritillaries have bloomed early, without any problems, and for a long time.

Only a few flowers have bloomed, rather disappointing.

No sign of my fritillaries!!! I have voles, unfortunately!!!

Out of 25 bulbs, 8 have produced flowers. The expected mass effect didn't work.

It is too early to assess the rate of reproduction, but the established bulbs have bloomed.
