I planted this young calycanthus in April 2017. In early 2020, it is 2 meters (7 feet) tall. I have made some people jealous! Its flowers match the description perfectly and smell like wine! Thanks to Virginie from Promesse de Fleurs for her advice: planting, pruning, and maintaining.

Planted in a large pot last November, it has grown very quickly (1.50 m (5ft) tall and wide). In full sun all day (and it has been spoiled this summer...), the leaves do not burn and it is not very thirsty for water. However, I am also disappointed with its flowers. Pretty but few in number and without any scent. Perhaps it is more generous when planted directly in the ground.
