Umpeau" does not have an equivalent translation in English. It appears to be a word that does not exist in the English language.

Hello, I live in a condominium, many branches of Polygonum Aubertii have been planted all around the residence, climbing on grids set up for this purpose, it will be 2 years in spring 2020. Currently, they are overflowing with life, but the inflorescences and tall stems are very damaged, we do not know if we should cut them, and if so, is it a pruning at the level of the branches, that is to say much lower? Because the plants climb up to 2-3 m (7-10ft) high, the lower parts are healthy. If we prune, when should it be done? Can we do it now? And at what height? without risking harm to the new shoots?
Thank you for your advice, sincerely, Elisabeth
Elisabeth

Not very leafy for the season
The young plant appears weakened: stems quite dry, very few leaves. I will wait to see if it recovers.
I received my plants in a well-packaged parcel in 3 days as planned. The 2 lianas are a bit scrawny, but that's normal for young plants. I'm not worried, they should develop without any issues. To be continued.

I am very disappointed: the young plant planted two years ago is not growing.
