Order for 2 young plants of 9 cm (4in) in bucket. Planted but the leaves are turning black and falling off. The boles are also turning black from the top to the bottom. Also very disappointed with this particular product. I am questioning future orders." Analysis of the translated text: - "young plants" is a more accurate translation for "godet" in the context of plants being sold in small pots or containers. - "bucket" is used to translate "godet" as it represents a small container used for planting. - "bole" is used to translate "fût" as it refers to the trunk or stem of a plant. - The sentence structure and grammar are correct. - The tone of the text is maintained in the translation.

Description

Viburnum tinus, is an evergreen bush. Adaptable, it tolerates any type of soil and exposure.

Enjoying well-drained soils and responding well to pruning, it is well-suited for cultivation in large pots. It flowers in umbels of white/pink colour, about 10cm (3.9 inches) long which last all winter and a good part of spring and dress up the garden, which greatly needs it during this season. It produces small black fruits.

It is also suitable for informal hedges, where its round and dense habit works wonders, and for isolated plantings, where it can be trained as a standard.

Planting and care

Plant Viburnum tinus as a standalone plant or as an informal hedge preferably in the sun, but also in partial shade. It does not have any specific requirements for the soil but prefers well-drained areas without excess water. Prune it after the end of the flowering period. In harsh climates, it may be useful to mulch it during extreme cold temperatures.
