Being a novice gardener, on poor soil, a meadow that I open up, very sandy - and only coming on weekends, the best results I've had are with three attempts at growing beans. One harvest every three days from mid-July to mid-August from just one sowing, and then some beans that grew bigger but were still good. I'm starting again this year.
