Mery la bataille" does not contain any specific terms related to pruning, so there is no need to use the glossary for this translation.
However, if you meant to ask for the translation of the phrase "pruning" into British English, it would be "trimming"
To this day, nothing has grown in my greenhouse, which is at 17 degrees (62.6°F) Celsius after weeks.

It has been over 2 weeks since I planted 5 artichoke seeds, but only 2 seeds have sprouted. There are around thirty seeds in the packet, I dare hope to have 10 seeds that will germinate! Disappointed..
I was ambitious in attempting to grow these artichokes in pots on my small balcony. It wasn't successful, but the conditions weren't favorable. I gave it a try...
Sowing in spring, I had several small spikes on one of the plants, quite tasty according to my husband. We'll see what the other plants will yield next summer if they survive the winter here (Auvergne, garden in the South).

LOL! I didn't buy any seeds but a potted plant that took root very well even though it seemed a bit weak to me... but I never had a purple artichoke but rather an inermous white cardoon that I still enjoyed eating the flowers with their beautiful tips that one must be careful of (3 cardoon flowers for one artichoke). If I had read the reviews on the seeds, I would have been cautious.
That being said, last year I blanched the stalks for a month and discovered the gratin of cardoons, which is highly valued by the people of Lyon for Christmas. The harvest will be done this year as soon as the rain stops ;)
