Our range of Butterfly Gladioli (Papilio hybrid). Among gladioli, some hybrids such as Gladiolus papilio 'Ruby' or 'Lorena' stand out for their flowers that resemble the wings of a butterfly, with petals finely carved in an astonishing range of colours. The gladioli in this category are also shorter than the tall hybrids, with flowering stems measuring 50 to 70 cm high. The 'Ruby' variety offers deep shades of red, while 'Lorena' charms with its multicoloured flowers. Also discover 'Vulcano' with bright fuchsia pink flowers speckled with purplish violet and white, and 'Violetta' with intense violet flowers. These hybrids are also known for their hardiness, which is superior to that of the classic tall gladioli, as well as slightly earlier flowering.

Choose a sunny location with well-rich and well-drained soil to grow butterfly gladioli. Mulching will be necessary in regions prone to cold and humid winters.
