The pair consists of:
- 1 x Kalimeris incisa 'Alba': a beautiful form with white flowers from the botanical species.
- 1 x Kalimeris incisa 'Blue Star': a horticultural variety with soft blue flowers.
Kalimeris incisa is a hardy perennial plant that can withstand temperatures as low as -15°C (5°F) and is therefore suitable for many climates. It prefers sun but can tolerate some afternoon shade. It is best planted in March-April in loose, well-prepared soil, with 40 to 50 cm (16 to 20in) between each plant. The vegetation emerges from the ground every spring and dries up in autumn. This is a low-maintenance plant if the growing conditions are suitable. Pruning faded flowers will prolong the flowering period.
These Kalimeris from this pair can be placed on the edge of borders, alternating the two varieties or mixing them with summer Asters. Their flowering will highlight the silhouette of larger plants such as Phlox paniculata, Lavatera, and Dames' Rocket. For a wild effect, combine them with Yarrows, Checkerblooms, and Field Scabious. You can also use these Kalimeris to enhance the base of a shrub Rose.

Easy to grow, the Kalimeris incisa is quite tolerant. It prefers sunlight but can tolerate partial shade. This plant adapts well to ordinary, fairly rich, well-drained soil that does not dry out too much in the summer. It can withstand temperatures as low as -15°C (5°F) and is therefore suitable for many climates. By removing faded flowers as they appear, you will encourage the growth of new ones.
