The purchased plant eventually started to recover with thorough monitoring and regular watering, but it is completely green. There is no yellowing or variegation. Could this be a soil issue? It is in the shade. Thank you for your response.

The midribs received in early March barely showed any signs of foliage. They have developed wonderfully well since then. 1 young plant placed on each side of my Mexican orange tree, the result is going to be superb.
