Initially quite fragile upon arrival, it grew really well last year (2022), reaching almost 2 meters (7 feet) in height! However, it got infested with thrips in the spring (the only plant on the entire terrace! Was it delivered with them...??) which devastated its leaves, and it almost completely withered in the summer! Despite all that, it managed to produce several small flowers that resemble carnivorous plant flowers, all 'skin' with purplish spots. It was quite nice. But considering the damage, I cut it down to ground level at the beginning of autumn, and to my surprise, for the past 3 weeks (April), it has been resurrecting itself, with 3 new stems emerging from the ground and growing rapidly! This time, I have planted a vigorous climbing knotweed above it to provide some shade, and I will probably apply a preventive treatment for thrips, just in case, as it is said that they hibernate in the soil...

Frozen, despite the protections in spring 2021 with a temperature of -7°C (19.4°F) one night, it's a shame I had some in my garden in Brittany that were becoming almost invasive, so be careful with the climate.

For the price, it could have been better! The few leaves that are present are all holey, eaten by some pest... Let's hope it takes well and toughens up!

I received a Dutchman's pipe in a deplorable condition: poorly packaged, three stems with one completely dried out and only one brown leaf! The other plants in the package are in good condition.
It's unacceptable; this is also my second order from 'Promesse de Fleurs' that disappoints me....

Absolutely scandalous, I received a birthwort this morning, with just a little yellow dying leaf, the plant is almost dead...at that price, it's utter nonsense!! And it was meant to be a gift...impossible. I'm disgusted.

At the limits of the scam...
I ordered 2 aristolochia plants. They were packaged without any care, with no labeling on the box, so it was turned in all directions = the plants arrived in a pitiful state. I believe that they were already weak plants when they were shipped (for 20 euros each, it's a rip-off) and the transportation didn't help the situation. It is highly likely that neither of the 2 plants will recover. This was my first and last order from Promesse de Fleurs.

Original climbing plant
I was looking for a hardy climber with dense foliage that spreads over a large area, with the aim of training it into a small umbrella-shaped shrub.

plant taken out of the pot upon arrival
Despite being well-packaged, the plant had come out of its pot. A few yellowing leaves, seems to lack a bit of vigour, but I think it will improve.
It has already been planted and watered, I can't wait to see it take over its support!

Safe and sound
My order arrived in very good condition, well packaged, with the plants well protected.
The Dutchman's pipe is a bit more delicate than I had imagined, but it seems healthy to me. As for its growth, I can't say more, as I planted it yesterday. To be continued.

Very good product
Intended to hide my neighbor's tool shed, it has arrived at the top, its extension will be for next year, I hope.
