Description

This Nemesia Collection is a selection of three excellent recent varieties of "elfin mirror", very floriferous, which maintain a clean appearance throughout the season. These annual plants produce a multitude of small bicoloured to tricoloured flowers, ideal for brightening balconies and terraces from spring to the first frost. They create a prodigious cloud effect in hanging baskets and containers and emit a sweet scent of honey and vanilla that attracts pollinators. Easy to grow in sunny exposure, in a good rich and well-drained horticultural soil.

This collection is sold in a set of 5 plug plants, which includes:

x 1 Nemesia 'Fairy Kisses Citrine': this variety forms a small, ramified clump of 30cm in all directions. It produces a multitude of small flowers, less than 1cm in size, half of which are lemon yellow, the other half being pure white. They display a golden yellow throat that can be seen from afar and

x 2 Nemesia 'Sunpeddle Painted Rose': this variety, slightly narrower than the previous one (25cm), forms a compact, upright and dense clump. Its corollas are almost tricoloured, in deep red and white enhanced by a touch of gold.

x 2 Nemesia 'Sunsatia Plus Lychee': it differs from the previous two varieties with the soft and fruity color of its white and lavender pink flowers. They bloom in abundance on a bushy and semi-trailing vegetation, 25cm tall and 30cm wide.

From the first days of spring, Nemesias illuminate the flower beds of our cities and villages. On our terraces and in our gardens, with their extremely graceful habit, both dense and light, these fresh plants perfectly dress up hanging baskets, balcony planters, all types of containers, and even perennial borders, preferably in full sun. They are easy to grow in the garden and yield spectacular results when planted in various containers or flower boxes. Use them also as a border in mixed colours or in combination with pelargonium geraniums, annual blue or white lobelias, petunias and Surfinias...

These Nemesias are generous plants that require little maintenance. Water regularly, especially during dry periods, and apply a flowering plant fertilizer every two weeks during the growing season to promote abundant flowering. They tolerate high temperatures combined with high humidity quite poorly. Planting should be done as soon as the frost is over, in spring. In summer, during periods of high heat, do not hesitate to prune the plants severely (10-15cm from the base) between two flowering periods to encourage the formation of new flowering shoots.

Planting and care

Plant your Nemesias in a sunny location or possibly in partial shade. They require a light, fertile and humus-bearing soil and appreciate a fertilizer input. They tolerate high temperatures combined with significant humidity quite poorly. You can plant your Nemesias in a field of plants or in pots. In pots, these young plants must be watered regularly. Planting should be done as soon as the frosts end, in spring. During summer, in periods of high temperatures, do not hesitate to prune the plant severely (10-15cm from the base) between two flowerings in order to promote the formation of new floriferous shoots.
