Ariège
This plant has been persisting for over 30 years near Pamiers in Ariège, at the foothills of the Pyrenees, where it has at least survived the cold wave of 2012 (-20°C (-4°F)). In other words, it is potentially much hardier than -10°C (14°F). A very beautiful plant with an exotic and kitschy look, as long as you forget about its smell!

Absolutely stunning plant that I've discovered in my new garden, such a delight to watch them grow. However, the flower is currently emitting odours of rotten meat with the heat, and I have dozens of them. Not very pleasant to walk around them.

Belgium (Hesbaye)
Received two enormous bulbs, one bloomed straight away (a terrible smell, as expected!) and the other grew into a plant. The one that bloomed wilted quite quickly and produced several bulbils that I was able to divide and give away to others. They were in a warm and humid greenhouse.

Large tuber, as indicated on the website. The tuber is very hard (healthy) and the bud is very firm and vigorous. ;-)
