The leaves have a very elongated heart shape and can grow up to 60 cm long. Quite variable from one plant to another, as well as on the same vine, they range from a lance-shaped form, with a large central lobe and two small side lobes, to "clover-like" forms with three nearly equal-sized lobes, all in a bright, glossy green. All parts of the Philodendron 69686 contain calcium oxalates, toxic if ingested, which can cause oral and digestive irritation.
