A remarkable annual summer-flowering plant for its finely cut, almost luminescent blue umbels which appear to float above finely chiselled foliage. With its slender and graceful habit, this variety does not tolerate frost and thrives in light, rich, well-drained soil, in sunny or partially shaded positions. Ideal for fresh cut flower arrangements, it enjoys mild environments and natural or romantic gardens. Sow preferably in May directly in situ.

Our Didiscus caeruleus 'Lace Heavenly Umbels' seeds will enable you to grow Blue Lace Flower, a distinctive annual plant particularly valued for its inflorescences in unique sky-blue, delicate umbels. It quickly develops an upright, ramified habit reaching 60 to 90 cm in height, while its light green, finely cut and concentrated foliage at the base remains discreet, thus fully highlighting the airy elegance of its inflorescences. The clump spreads to about 35 cm, contributing to its light and graphic appearance.

Planting and care

Didiscus caeruleus Lace Heavenly Umbels seeds are ideally sown in spring once all risk of frost has passed. Between mid-March and mid-May, depending on your local climate.

Soil preparation: this plant prefers well-drained soil and a sunny position. Prepare the soil by lightly forking it and removing weeds and debris.

Sowing: Sow the seeds directly in open ground, as this plant dislikes being transplanted. Scatter them lightly over the soil surface, then cover with a thin layer of soil. Do not bury them too deeply as they need light to germinate.
