Description
Alcea rosea 'Spring Celebrities Pink' is a compact hollyhock with pink double flowers. It is ideal for pots and borders.
The hollyhock is a short-lived perennial grown as an annual. It has a rapid growth rate with upright, unbranched stems that can reach 75cm (30in). Its light green leaves are lobed and rough. The beautiful pink flowers are 5cm (2in) double cups, arranged along the stem. The flowers bloom from July to October and are popular with butterflies.
The hollyhock should be planted in full sun or partial shade, in pots or borders, in ordinary soil.

Note: please be aware that our plug plants are professional products intended for experienced gardeners. Upon receipt, transplant and store them under cover (veranda, greenhouse, cold frame) at a temperature above 14°C (57.2°F) for a few weeks before placing them outdoors once the risk of frost has passed.

Alcea rosea 'Spring Celebrities Pink' can be planted from April to June in a sunny or semi-shady location. It works well in both flower beds and containers. In containers, use garden planting soil or a soil mix for indoor flowering plants. Water regularly while allowing the substrate to dry between waterings. Apply fertiliser every 15 days.
