There were only 2 young plants left, I took them but they are dried out. I will wait to see next spring if they will still revive. I always order from Promesses de fleurs and I have always been very satisfied with both the quality of the young plants and the care taken in packaging. Furthermore, the customer service is excellent!

Description

Campanula Kent Belle is a beautiful hardy perennial, forming large elongated, bright blue bells in early summer. It is a romantic variety to associate with shrub roses.

This bushy variety is similar to Campanula takesimana with early, large trailing flowers, on stems reaching 1m (3ft) in height, much taller than the 'Sarastro' variety.

From June, the Kent Belle bellflower forms intense blue elongated bells, 6cm (2in) in length. Flowering lasts until the end of summer, provided the flower stalks are regularly cut.

It is easy to grow, and appreciates sunny exposures and moist, rich, and well-draining soils. When it is happy, it moderately produces suckers.

In a wild or romantic-style garden associate the Kent Belle bellflower with perennial geraniums, English roses, Polemonium, and delphiniums.

Planting and care

Plant Campanula Kent Belle in a sunny location with rich and moist soil that has been deeply dug. Don't be fooled by the size of the young plant in the pot: give it the space you would give to a small bush as it grows quickly! Prune the stems at the end of flowering to encourage the emergence of new flowers in September. In containers apply organic fertilizer at least once a year.
