The Mangetout Bean is generally fleshy or flat and wide and is consumed in its entirety including the seeds and pods, even when ripe. It does not form any string or parchment. The pods are usually green, like the Mangetout Bean Phénomène, but can also be yellow as seen in the butter beans like the Mangetout Bean Goldfield - or even amethyst as seen with the variety Mangetout Bean Blauhilde. They like the sun and light soils and will be very productive even without any particular care.

You'll adore them!
