Petunia Tiny Pleasure Double Blue Vein

The Petunia Tiny Pleasure Double Blue Vein is a recent and compact variety that is highly resistant. It has double flowers with flared trumpets, tinted with purple veined with dark violet. It is also known for its long flowering period, from spring to autumn, with a few care requirements. Ideal for small gardens, hanging baskets, and containers.

Our hybrid petunias are all derived from several plants native to the hot regions of South America. The Petunia Tiny Pleasure belongs to the solanaceae family, it is closely related to ornamental tobacco, for example, and its foliage also contains alkaloids. Very floriferous, the 'Tiny Pleasure' variety is a selection intended for pot cultivation, its growth is much more compact than traditional varieties and its stems are shorter, resulting in a dense and well-filled flowering that renews itself from May-June to October. The Double Blue Vein petunia measures 20 to 30cm (8 to 12in) in height and width. The flowers measure 3 to 4 cm (1 to 2in) in diameter. Its foliage, very different from that of other petunias, is composed of small, thick, and velvety oval leaves, medium green.

No other annual flowering plant has undergone such intense and long-lasting selection by breeders. The results are impressive, as petunias rival geraniums in splendor and length of flowering. Plant them in large pots or hanging baskets. Resistant to drought and heat, the Double Blue Vein Petunia appreciates sunny locations and has rapid and vigorous growth.

Green plants measuring 4 to 8cm (2 to 3in) in plug plants of 5 small plugs with a diameter of 2.5cm (1in) and a height of 4 cm (2in). Our plants are at least eight weeks old and are strong enough to be planted in the ground.

Note: Please be aware that our young plug plants are professional products intended for experienced gardeners: upon receipt, transplant and store them under cover (veranda, greenhouse, cold frame) at a temperature above 14°C (57.2°F) for a few weeks before being planted outdoors once the risk of frost has been definitively eliminated.
