The Petunia Sweet Pleasure Cassis Patio is a rains and heat resistant variety, with tender pink flowers maculate with cassis, which bloom earlier than traditional varieties, the flowers renew from May to late September.

Very floriferous, the Sweet Pleasure Petunia is a weather-resistant selection, with average vegetation suitable for hanging or pot cultivation. The flowers measure 5 to 6 cm (2in) in diameter and renew from May to September. The Cassis Patio petunia measures 40 to 50cm (16 to 20in) in height and width.

Resistant to drought and heat, the Cassis Patio Petunia appreciates sunny situations and experiences rapid and vigorous growth.

Green plants measuring 4 to 8cm (2 to 3in) in 5 small plug plants of 2.5cm (1in) in diameter and 4cm (2in) in height. Our plants are at least eight weeks old and strong enough to be planted in the ground.

Note: Attention, our young plug plants are professional products reserved for experienced gardeners: upon receipt, repot and store them under shelter (veranda, greenhouse, frame) at a temperature above 14°C (57.2°F) for a few weeks before being planted outdoors once the risk of frost is definitively eliminated.

Planting and care

You can plant your Sweet Pleasure Cassis Patio Petunias in the ground or in a pot. If you want to plant them in the ground, wait until the last heavy frosts have passed (petunias can tolerate a light late frost). In the meantime, you can pre-cultivate them in a pot in a warm and bright place to accelerate their growth. The Petunias will bloom from June to October. Plant your Sweet Pleasure Cassis Patio petunias in a sunny location or in partial shade, sheltered from the wind. They need a light and humus-bearing soil, but above all well-draining. Do not overwater them at the beginning of their growth as they are sensitive to excessive moisture. They tolerate drought well, but will need regular watering during hot summer temperatures. Petunias are susceptible to frost (minimum -1° (30.2°F)). Very floriferous and fast-growing, they are hungry plants. We recommend feeding them with a liquid fertiliser for surfinias once or twice a week during the growing season. Remove faded flowers and dry leaves as they appear to keep them looking beautiful and extend the flowering period.
