Not sure it will recover. The white stems have curled back on themselves, it's all shriveled up and impossible to straighten out. Doesn't seem in good shape at all, especially compared to the other one I received. I'll wait and see if it bounces back!

Description
Its double flowers bloom in a very tender pink and are fragrant, then turn pure white in just one day. Very vigorous and floriferous, it is also sublime in bouquets for the home. Delivered in sealed pouches, sold individually.

Planting and care
The best time to plant peony Peach Blossom is in autumn. Install in a sunny or well-lit location, spaced 60 cm (24in) apart. They need space and are sensitive to competition from other species. Prepare a hole 50 x 50 x 50 cm (20in) and mix organic fertiliser into your soil, partially backfill, place your plants inside, and cover with 6 cm (2in) of soil above the eyes. After planting, tamp down and water generously. Our bouquet tip: cut your peonies at sunrise when the buds start to colour. Don't delay in putting them in water.

Hardiness is the lowest winter temperature a plant can endure without suffering serious damage or even dying. However, hardiness is affected by location (a sheltered area, such as a patio), protection (winter cover) and soil type (hardiness is improved by well-drained soil).
In temperate climates, pruning of spring-flowering shrubs (forsythia, spireas, etc.) should be done just after flowering.
Pruning of summer-flowering shrubs (Indian Lilac, Perovskia, etc.) can be done in winter or spring.
In cold regions as well as with frost-sensitive plants, avoid pruning too early when severe frosts may still occur.

- In the inland hills and plateaus (Wicklow Mountains, Macgillycuddy’s Reeks, Connemara, Killarney), it is best to plant in spring (April–May) or autumn (September–October), avoiding periods of waterlogged soil in winter and strong winds, which pose the main risk to newly planted trees in these areas.
