Hello, I ordered 6 macranthas in two separate orders in April and May 2019. Three of them are currently developing their first leaves and their "promise of flowers". The other three have not shown anything yet. We'll see....

Description

Campanula latifolia var. macrantha is a hardy perennial for heavy soil, with intensely blue-violet bell-shaped flowers.

Campanula latifolia var. macrantha forms bushy, robust, semi-running clumps. In late spring, it bears numerous bell-shaped, intensely blue-violet flowers for over a month. Its elongated, triangular-shaped leaves are deciduous.

This very hardy species grows in shade as well as in the sun, it likes rich and moist soil and tolerates heavy and clayey soils.
