Our selection of hardy cacti. True champions of adaptation, ideal for growing outdoors, these cacti can withstand cold temperatures down to -12°C, or even lower. Among them, Prickly Pear 'Millevaches' (Opuntia humifusa), which forms small, thick pads, shows remarkable resistance to harsh winters. Other varieties also deserve a place in your garden. Opuntia phaeacantha 'Mojavensis', with large, thorn-covered pads and big yellow flowers tinged with red, tolerates both cold and drought. Cylindropuntia imbricata offers a striking silhouette and spectacular fuchsia flowering in summer. Opuntia engelmannii var. indheimeri is vigorous, exceeding 2 metres in all directions and produces beautiful, bright orange cup-shaped flowers followed by edible fruits. Escobaria vivipara, one of the hardiest, is a modest, very thorny cactus that survives extreme temperatures. It produces magnificent pink flowers in spring.

These outdoor cacti thrive in well-draining soil and full sun exposure. Perfect for rock gardens, dry borders, or even pots, they exude all the charm of the desert and require no maintenance.
