Trailing Petunias and Surfinia®. These abundant flowering annuals are ideal for creating flowering hanging baskets, window boxes, or trailing borders. With a flexible, spreading habit, these petunias form veritable cascades of flowers from spring until the first frosts.

The Petunia Surfinia® 'Purple' (sometimes called Surfinia® 'Blue Vein' or Surfinia® Violet) is the most popular of the trailing petunias. It has greatly contributed to the fame of the Surfinia® series. This series of hybrid trailing petunias is appreciated for its rapid growth, resistance to bad weather, and continuous flowering. The cultivar 'Coral Morn' is particularly bright, with its large fluorescent coral pink flowers with a white centre. The variety 'Tumbelina Priscilla' stands out with its slightly undulate double flowers, mauve veined with purple, and a delicate fragrance. The Petunia Supertunia 'Bordeaux Purple Vein' forms impressive cascades of pale plum pink flowers veined with violet-purple and an almost black throat in a single season. Also discover the Petunia Surfinia Trailing 'Light Yellow', a very pale yellow that flowers very early and for a long time on a well-trailing plant.

Trailing petunias require full sun and a light, fertile, well-drained soil. Plant them in hanging baskets or window boxes, water them regularly in summer. To prolong flowering, remove spent flowers and apply a liquid Flower Fertiliser every 10 days.
