Buddleia White Chip - Butterfly Bush

Buddleia 'White Chip' is a beautiful dwarf variety of Butterfly Bush, hardy, non-invasive, with summer flowering in pure white spikes on silvery foliage.

If you don't have any Buddleia in your garden because of its reputation as an invader, this variety is made for you! Indeed, the 90cm (35.4in) tall 'White Chip' Buddleia, with its bristly and rounded habit, has the particularity of being sterile and therefore not spreading! It develops deciduous, opposite, ovate leaves, 8cm (3.1in) long, silvery, on upright and rigid branches. From July to September, it bears upright flower spikes, white with an orange throat, 15cm (5. in) long, whose pleasant scent attracts many butterflies.

The 'White Chip' Buddleia likes any well-drained soil, in a sunny, not too windy location. Remove faded flowers as they appear for aesthetic reasons and prune severely from March to April.

The 'White Chip' Buddleia is used as a standalone specimen, or in groups of shrubs such as potentillas with yellow or red flowers.
