Description

Echinacea purpurea Pink Double Delight is characterized by a very double pompon-like heart that gives it a tousled appearance, and bright pink petals that are directed downwards, as is customary for Echinaceas. This is a recent creation (2006).

Group them in sets of 5 when planting, for example in front of a phlox paniculata and in the background of perennial geraniums, to fully express their elegance.

Planting and care

Plant Echinacea purpurea in a rich but well-drained soil (it is sensitive to excessive moisture in the winter), in a sunny or lightly shaded location. This species is hardy and particularly resistant to frost. Mulch in case of very harsh winters in the north. Cut back faded stems to prolong flowering then leave your Echinacea alone, as it doesn't appreciate being disturbed.
