Description

Perennial herbaceous plants, very floriferous and always very noticeable in a garden. We know that plants grown in small buckets, with only one stem, often give poor results when planted. We keep them for an additional year, in larger pots, to promote branching, which leads to better establishment in the field of plants.

Flowers light blue lilac with white eye.

Note: From March to September, the stems of our delphiniums are pruned short to promote better branching of the stump and achieve optimal rooting. This pruning also prevents the stems from breaking during transportation.

Planting and care

Without being very difficult, their cultivation still requires some precautions: delphiniums dislike heavy and damp soils, as well as dry and poor soils. The suitable soil for them is a good black soil, rich in humus, non-compact, fresh, even in summer, but without excess in winter, and sheltered from strong winds. Under these conditions, they will live for many years. Also be wary of slugs, which can cause damage at the beginning of vegetation.
