Planting and care

L’Aster novi-belgii ‘Audrey’ se plante de février à avril ou de septembre à novembre dans une terre fertile, ameublie et fraîche, au soleil. Les terres argileuses et calcaires sont acceptées. Dans ce cas, incorporez du compost mûr pour améliorer le drainage. Arrosez durant le premier été afin que la souche s’enracine. Une plante installée résiste à de courtes périodes sèches, mais celles-ci favorisent l’oïdium et diminuent la floraison. Un paillage organique aide à conserver la fraîcheur du sol. La division, effectuée tous les trois ou quatre ans au printemps, renouvelle la touffe et évite qu’elle ne se dégarnisse au centre. En pot, utilisez un contenant large et profond dont le fond laisse l’eau s’écouler librement.
