They've only just started to flower, but I'm rushing to send this review to advise you to plant them in the garden. They are absolutely magnificent, with a very original hue. Even with just a few in bloom, you can't miss them!

Description

Crocus 'Prins Claus' is a beautiful botanical crocus. It flowers in early spring, at the same time as snowdrops. Its blooms are white on the inside, with a beautiful shade of plum on the outside.

The flowers close at night and in bad weather, and open wide in the sun.

Crocuses prefer to stay in place, where they easily naturalise and expand to form bright patches.

Planting and care

Plant the bulbs from September to December, in light soil, at a depth of 5cm (2in) and with a spacing of 5cm (2in), or in groups of three every 15 to 20cm (6 to 8in). It is preferable to leave them in place. They will form increasingly floriferous clumps. Also consider planting them in pots for the patio.
