Description

Oxalis triangularis is a beautiful bulbous plant with marbled red garnet clover foliage and very pretty pink to pale pink flowers, which give it the nickname purple clover. It is a sensitive plant whose foliage folds up at the slightest breeze.

A very lovely clover, not invasive at all, awarded at Courson. Plant it in a pot that you will protect in winter, as it does not tolerate winter frosts.

Planting and care

Plant your Oxalis bulbs as soon as you receive them, at a depth of 8cm (3in), spaced 7/8cm (3in) apart. In pots, they are extraordinary and produce more flowers every year. Suitable for indoor use and on your terraces and balconies. Can be grown in the garden in regions without winter frosts. Oxalis likes a warm exposure without direct sunlight. You can keep it in flowering pots indoors. Plant 5 bulbs in a pot measuring 18 to 20cm (7 to 8in). During its dormant period, you can easily divide your plant and obtain other pots that you can give as gifts.
