Description

The 'Ocean Harmony' is a collection of 20 hyacinths in shades of blue, white, and dark lilac.

The leaves of these 'Hyacinthus orientalis' are deciduous and measure 15 to 35cm (6 to 14in) long. They are green in colour and have an ensate shape (flat, narrow, long, upright, and pointed). 5 'Carnegie' hyacinths with pure white, fragrant flowers.

Planting and care

Plant in October-November by burying the bulbs 8 to 10cm (3 to 4in) deep and spacing them 15 or 20cm (6 or 8in) apart. In very harsh climates, cover with leaves to protect from severe cold. Flowering occurs in February-March. After flowering, wait for the leaves to turn yellow and wilt before cutting them. You can leave the bulbs in the ground or dig up the onions, which will be stored dry until they are replanted in the following autumn. Pot cultivation is possible. Hyacinth Tip: Among early flowering plants, the hyacinth is one of the few bulbs with large flowers. Reserve a special place for it in your garden. It will bring spectacular splashes of colour to your flower beds. Our tip: mix your hyacinths with other early bulbs like Chionodoxas or early Tulipa humilis.
