Description

The Universal Premium Lawn is a mixture of coated grass seeds that germinate faster at low temperatures. The grasses from these seeds root more deeply, allowing them to better withstand different stresses and diseases. It contains strong and low-maintenance grasses that create a robust lawn that requires little maintenance and watering in all our regions. This composition quickly establishes a turf that remains green in winter, but also in summer if the soil remains slightly cool. This mixture can be used on all types of soil and in all climates. The seeds are sown broadcast from March to June or in September-October, in the sun, in well-prepared and loosened soil. 2.5 kg covers up to 125 m².

Composition: 100% coated seeds.

  • Coating: Trichoderma (mycorrhizal fungus associating with plant roots) and specific NPK fertilizers for the grass varieties used in this mixture
  • 40% English Ryegrass including RGA 4N
  • 40% Creeping Red Fescue
  • 15% Tall Fescue
  • 5% Meadow Fescue

Product characteristics and advantages:

  • Germination at low temperatures (germination from 3-4°C on the ground compared to 7°C for a lawn composed only of 2N English Ryegrass).
  • High tolerance to stress and diseases.
  • Very good resistance to dryness, trampling, and uprooting thanks to deep and dense rooting.
  • Density, fineness, and sustained colour all year round.
  • Quick and lasting establishment.

Usage and dosage:

  • 2.5 kg: up to 125 m2
  • Sowing dose: approximately 20 g/m2

In the hottest and driest regions it is almost impossible to achieve a lawn that remains green in summer without watering. Left unwatered it will often take on the appearance of a 'doormat'; however, it will green up again as soon as the rains return in late summer or early autumn.

Planting and care

Sowing:

Sow directly in place, from March to June (or September-October in hot and dry climates), in well-prepared soil, free from weeds, refined and raked. Sow by broadcasting on the surface of the soil and lightly rake to cover the seeds. Optionally, use a roller to ensure good adhesion of the seeds to the soil. Regularly water with a fine spray to keep the soil slightly moist until germination if there is no rain.

Dosage:

  • 1 box of 2.5 kg for 125 m², or approximately 20 g/m²
