Description

This Mix for white bouquets is made up of a ravishing collection of white-flowering annual plants. Easy to grow in ordinary soil and requiring very little maintenance, sow them directly in their final position in spring, in the sun, in well-prepared soil. Meadow wildflowers and florists mingle in a large flowerbed that would fit in perfectly in a white garden, but also in bouquets to celebrate special occasions. Sown in spring, they will bloom throughout the summer and some of them will spontaneously reseed wherever they please.

This selection is composed of 19 varieties of white-flowered annuals, including cornflower (Centaurea cyanus), Zinnia, tree mallow, its cousin Malope, candytuft, Cosmos, morning glory, the indispensable baby's breath and Clarkia with its silky flowers... All these plants show rapid growth and naturalizes relatively well by spontaneously self-seeding in the garden, in ordinary, well-drained soil. One packet of seeds sows an area of approximately 3 square metres. The size of the plants varies from 40 to 1 m in height.

Wildflower meadows are very trendy. This beautiful alternative to grass lawns, blooms all throughout the summer months and requires little maintenance. Ideal for adding a touch of elegance to wilder, very sunny areas, to a bed or wildflower meadow, this mix for white bouquets is sown in spring, in well-prepared soil. Its flowers are often nectar-rich or melliferous, providing a significant source of food for foraging insects. Invite nature into your garden: sow our flower mix along paths, on a slope bordering a sunken path, or at the back of garden, providing an effect transition with the countryside landscape.

Planting and care

Sowing instructions:

Sow directly in their final positions, from March to early June, once the earth has warmed up, in a weed-free soil that has been raked to a fine tilth. Sow thinly on the surface of the soil and rake it lightly to cover the seeds. You can also sow at a depth of 1.5 mm, in drills spaced 30 cm apart. Germination normally takes 14-21 days.

Growing instructions :

When the seedlings appear, water well and remove weeds. In the autumn, when the plants have finished flowering and after having collected their seeds, they can be directly sown in the same place after having prepared the soil. Water well to make the seeds adhere to the soil.
