Description

This Mix for blue bouquets is a selected array of annuals with summer blooms in a beautiful, harmonious blend that ranges from the softest to the brightest of bluesEasy to grow in ordinary soil and requiring very little maintenance, sow them directly in their final position in spring, in the sun, in well-prepared soil. Meadow wildflowers and florists mingle in a large, sweet, poetic flowerbed that will go from the garden to the house, in the form of gorgeous, romantic floral arrangements. Sown in spring, they will bloom throughout the summer and some of them will spontaneously reseed wherever they please.

This selection is composed of 15 varieties of blue-flowered annuals, including cornflower, the royal blue morning glory with its yellow eye, azure flax, Gilia capitata with its small, powdery lavender blue, pin-headed inflorescences, soft to deep blue love-in-a-mists, powdery blue Ageratum, sea lavender with its lavender, cloud-like flowers, the large, bright blue spikes of painted sage.... All these plants show rapid growth and naturalizes relatively well by spontaneously self-seeding in the garden, in ordinary, well-drained soil. One packet of seeds sows an area of approximately 3 square metres. The size of the plants varies from 40 to 1 m in height.

Wildflower meadows are very trendy. This beautiful alternative to grass lawns, blooms all throughout the summer months and requires little maintenance. Ideal for adding a touch of elegance to wilder, very sunny areas, to a bed or wildflower meadow, this mix for blue bouquets is sown in spring, in well-prepared soil. Its flowers are often nectar-rich or melliferous, providing a significant source of food for foraging insects. Invite nature into your garden: sow our flower mix along paths, on a slope bordering a sunken path, or at the back of garden, providing an effect transition with the countryside landscape.

Planting and care

Sowing instructions:

Sow directly in their final positions, from March to early June, once the earth has warmed up, in a weed-free soil that has been raked to a fine tilth. Sow thinly on the surface of the soil and rake it lightly to cover the seeds. You can also sow at a depth of 1.5 mm, in drills spaced 30 cm apart. Germination normally takes 14-21 days.

Growing instructions :

When the seedlings appear, water well and remove weeds. In the autumn, when the plants have finished flowering and after having collected their seeds, they can be directly sown in the same place after having prepared the soil. Water well to make the seeds adhere to the soil.
