As usual. The order was dispatched quickly and very well packaged. The young plants are of good quality and have been planted. Now we just have to see them grow, but we won't see that until next summer. So, we'll see...

Description

Japanese Anemone 'Bressingham Glow' is a variety with semi-double flowers of a beautiful deep pink shade that blooms in September on sturdy stems 50cm (20in) tall.

Very hardy, this plant produces an erect stump with fibrous, running roots that can become invasive. It develops lobed, hairy, basal green leaves, 10 to 15cm (4 to 6in) long, and stems with several semi-double flowers, 5cm (2in) in diameter, deep pink with golden stamens.

The 'Bressingham Glow' Japanese Anemone grows in moist, well-drained and humus-rich soil in any exposure. It tolerates brief drought episodes and can withstand non-scorching sun. In ideal conditions, it thrives at the base of trees, in the edge of woodlands or in the back of borders where it forms magnificent clumps.

Japanese Anemone 'Bressingham Glow' pairs perfectly with persicarias, cimicifugas and perennial geraniums.

Tip: For your winter bouquets,  cut the stems when in bud and put in a vase.   These stems bearing what seem to be dry seed capsules, will be displaying white flowers  after 2 hours at room temperature.
