Plant arrived in good condition. The leaves present have dried up after a few weeks, but to be replaced by more numerous young leaves. I look forward to witnessing the flowering.

Description

Anemone x hybrida 'Richard Ahrens' is a perennial that produces impressive soft pink semi-double flowers with a core of yellow stamens. The flowers bloom from August to October. Its flowers are borne on tall, flexible stems that add a great deal of charm.

The dark green foliage is deciduous. This hybrid reaches a height of 1m (3ft) at maturity. It is hardy and vigorous.

It is mostly grown in beautiful borders and flower beds. It can be found in natural gardens, as well as cottage gardens. Its vigorous roots can be invasive.

Planting and care

It thrives in full sun or partial shade. Plant it in ordinary, moist soil. Avoid excessive moisture when it is not in the growing season. Protect it with mulch in spring (March-April) and at the end of autumn (November-December) if you are in a cold region. It is a trouble-free young plant.
